Spectacular train travels from city to city up to 322 kph (201 mph).

Paris is its Hub and it interconnects all throughout Europe.

The TGV runs on a fascinating line of tracks. It is nice to know you wont feel them should you have an issue and have to return to the base train station in record time. The radii of curves of the tracks the TGV runs on are larger than usual. Due to this the TGV can traverse them at higher speeds without increasing the acceleration felt by passengers.  

Another unusual fact about the TGV –most don’t know that this is a mass Eco-friendly train.

From the aerodynamic format of rail design to the way the drivers are trained. Drivers are trained to power off- downhill and adjust to rail grip to reduce consumption of electricity. Other Eco-friendly benefits are, it uses low energy lighting, waste is compact, waste water recycled and air conditioning in the summer is adjusted to fit by ratio only how many passengers are aboard.

A FASCINATING FRENCH EVENT !

Created in 1989, the World Pastry Cup, or Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie,  took France by storm. This event is still held today! A Concentration in the profession of pastry making holds a special place in the heart of France. Dedicated to this french event every January annually Pastry artists gather from all over to participate in this beautiful festival labeled by many as the most delectable competition in the world.

Many of the world's top pastry chefs participate in this Pastry Art Competition and festival.

 Pastry professionals from approximately 22 countries participate

Each country presents a team of three people selected during a national trial –

These must be:

a pastry-cook,

a chocolate maker

and an ice-cream maker.

 

The World Pastry Cup is the only competition of its kind in the world that is held live.

Each team is required to display creativity and technical skills in the making of a chocolate dessert, a fruit and ice-cream dessert presented on an ice sculpture base, and a typical plate dessert from their country.

  Only nine hours is allowed for participants to to prepare their displays.

Judged by taste and artistic quality  a panel of international judges take charge of the final displays and choose a winner. 

The international judges are limited only one from each participating country may judge the displays.

Can be confused with its other two meanings good morning, and good afternoon.
French kissing is a form of Hello in France!
Informal meaning of hello such as saying "Hi" is "Sault"
When Greeting A France resident you are also expected to kiss Cheeks or Shake Hands.  
"faire la bise"-word for "kiss cheeks" -
"se serrer la main"-  Word for Shake hands


FUN FACTS

•  The number of times the French kiss each other as a form of greeting varies depending on region.
•  In Corsica, the number of kisses can be as many as 5! (If you have a hot first date, you now know where to go)
• It’s illegal to kiss on railways in France
•  In France, it’s called a tongue kiss or soul kiss.

ITS BASTILLE DAY IN FRANCE !!!

The "Fête de la Fédération"is what the french call this day. This day refers to the day of July 14th 1790. This is a Day that there was a huge feast held honoring an official event identifying with the uprising of the short-lived constitutional monarchy in France.

Background of the Bastille in France:

Bastille was the name of a prison in Paris. This prison is formally known  as Bastille Saint-Antoine and is known for the storming of the Bastille on  July 14, 1789. This Storming  lead to the end of the country's monarchist rule  and following this the creation of a new French Republic.This Event was  commemorated by the Fête de la Fédération in 1790 and declared a national  holiday. It remains today a day of celebration for the French.
